Caleb - how great are these smiles?!

Even as I'm posting this, he's still smiling!...and spitting up.

While dad's away, the kids will play

While I was out of the country for a week, the kids and Carly had fun at Marmie's house with their cousin Reece.

Family pics

Thanksgiving day 2008

TOP: June, Joe, Zoe, Caleb James, Kyle, Carly
BOTTOM: Scott, Kelsey, Daron, Caleb Festus

I don't know if you can see it, but she loves to cross her fingers.

Soon-to-be brother-in-law Scott with Kelsey and the kids

Caleb, Daron & OU cheerleader Zoe

Caleb is not 8 weeks old, sleeping through the night a little more regularly, and giving everyone a chance to catch up on lost sleep and sanity. But we love it!

He's Here!

Our sweet little Caleb James Walters arrived on Wednesday November 19, 2008 at 11:40am. He weighed in at 7lbs 11oz and was 20in long. He's been eating and sleeping great thus far. Carly did an AMAZING job during the labor and delivery, and is doing great now. We're humbled and grateful to get to be his parents.

Zoe's not quite sure what to think of him, but she's figured out he's something new, something that's staying, and something she's not allowed to poke in the eyes.

Carly's mom Martha (Marmie) was with us during the labor and delivery and was a TREMENDOUS help.

Carly's dad James (Doc Daddy) came to see Caleb a few hours after he was born and brought him this OU hat, along with a Doc Geiger's Outdoor Adventure's hat, a fishing pole, and a step that screws into a tree which will help him get into a tree stand in the future :).

Nana with her boys. June took great care of Zoe while we were all at the hospital. We didn't have to twist her arm to do it.

Caleb gets his first name from his uncle Caleb, and his middle name from Carly's dad James Geiger. Funny thing, Caleb James & his uncle Caleb Festus share the same birthday! Happy 26th birthday Caleb - don't expect such a cool birthday present next year.

We have much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

This is a halloween costume Kelsey gave Zoe. Kelsey had one a lot like this when she was little.

FOCUS kids

Here's a fun picture of the FOCUS Staff kids. (I'm not sure at all why this is underlined...can't make it stop.) The Cryer kids, the Spivey's girl, and Zoe. Carly says it took at least 10 pictures to capture this one where everyone was looking! Pretty great, huh?!

And she's off!

It's official. She's mobile. Have we baby-proofed the house yet? Not really, but we're becoming more motivated to do so each day! You can see her dragging along some balloons she loved playing with. And when she gets going, she is determined.

Introducing....

...Caleb James! Well, not quite "INTRODUCING" introducing him yet, but here are our first couple of pictures of him. Carly is 19 weeks pregnant, so we're about halfway to meeting our SON! Amazing! The sonogram pictures were as clear as day that there is indeed a stem on this apple.

So far he has a little button nose like Zoe. Carly tells me that babies are born with pug noses so that they can breathe while breastfeeding. How cool is that. Snorkel provided - batteries not included.

It's hard to see his face here, but I think he is on his side - his eyes to the left side of the picture and his mouth to the right.
